Civic Engagement

Being an active citizen means getting involved in local communities and democracy at all levels. During this session, we will explore how to help students learn to be good and active citizens though exploring current events and service-learning projects. At the end of this session, you will walk away with tips for organizing your class to complete a service-learning project, tips for teaching current events and ways to be more engaged, active citizens.
